Founder & Executive Director
Juanita Lupoe is the Founder and Executive Director of A Woman’s Work Dwelling Place Inc. (AWWDPI), a nonprofit organization she established in 2015 in honor of her mother, Annie. Inspired by her own life experiences and passion for serving others, she founded the organization to provide support, encouragement, and opportunities for women, youth, and families within the community.
Through her leadership, AWWDPI has grown into an organization dedicated to empowerment, education, mentorship, and community outreach. Juanita has helped develop impactful initiatives including Girls 2 Lead (G2L), the Rebuild My Life Initiative (RMLI), The Dirty Cry Series, Annie’s Closet, Holiday Hug Boxes, Together Pinked Journey, and other programs designed to strengthen families and create pathways to success.
As a mentor, advocate, speaker, and community leader, Juanita is committed to helping individuals recognize their potential, overcome challenges, and build stronger futures. Her vision continues to guide AWWDPI’s mission of empowering women, developing youth leaders, and creating lasting change throughout the communities it serves.
Her passion remains rooted in one belief: every person deserves hope, support, and the opportunity to thrive.
Krystal Harris, Director of Operation
Krystal is a multitalented 34 yr old Mother of 4 beautiful children. She just recently Graduated for Business Management and is pursuing to get her Associates of Science in Office Management. She is currently a manager at one of the top retailers and manages several businesses.
April Mason, Secretary
April Mason is a devoted wife of 29 years and the proud mother of four. She has served with Cleveland Clinic Florida for 29 years and currently works as a Cancer Coordinator, where she compassionately supports individuals and families through critical moments in their healthcare journey.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management with a minor in Health Administration, bringing strong leadership, organizational expertise, and a commitment to excellence to her role as Secretary of the Board of Directors.
April is passionate about mentorship, advocacy, and empowerment, with a special heart for youth, young adults, and individuals navigating life’s challenges. Her dedication to serving others aligns closely with the mission of A Woman’s Work Dwelling Place Inc. to restore hope, strengthen families, and build resilient communities.
Tylysia Lupoe, Vice President
Tylysia serves as Vice President of the Board of Directors for A Woman’s Work Dwelling Place Inc. and is the founder and lead coordinator of the organization’s Holiday Hug Boxes initiative, bringing hope, encouragement, and essential support to individuals experiencing homelessness during the holiday season.
As the first Ambassador of the Girls 2 Lead (G2L) program, she has played an active role in mentoring youth, supporting teen girls, and helping lead community outreach efforts. Tylysia is passionate about leadership development, mentorship, entrepreneurship, and empowering young people to discover their confidence and purpose.
She currently serves as a Recreation Leader for the City of Dania Beach, where she assists with youth and senior programming, including the development of dance programs and activities that encourage growth, creativity, and community engagement. Tylysia also serves as a youth leader at her church, where she teaches teen Bible studies and mentors young people in their faith journey.
Her future goal is to open her own dance studio, creating a space where youth can develop confidence, discipline, and self-expression through dance. In her spare time, she enjoys dancing and serving her community.
Tasha Ray, Treasurer
Tasha Ray is a dedicated leader with a heart for service and a passion for empowering others. She has been a valued member of A Woman’s Work Dwelling Place Inc. for the past eight years, supporting the organization’s mission through a variety of roles and initiatives.
A devoted single mother, Tasha Ray currently serves as a Human Resources Director in the healthcare industry, where she advocates for employees and fosters a positive workplace culture. Her educational and professional credentials include a degree in Accounting, SHRM-CP certification, and more than ten years of experience as a licensed cosmetologist.
Drawing on her diverse professional background, leadership experience, and commitment to service, Tasha Ray helps strengthen the vision and impact of A Woman’s Work Dwelling Place Inc. Outside of her professional and organizational responsibilities, she enjoys reading and spending quality time with her daughter.
Julie Preston, President
Julie brings more than three decades of experience in the legal and healthcare fields to her role as President of the Board of Directors for A Woman’s Work Dwelling Place Inc. Her career has been marked by a strong commitment to service, professionalism, and supporting others.
Julie served for over 15 years with the State Attorney’s Office, working within the Sex Crimes and Child Abuse Unit as well as the Drug Trafficking Unit, where she provided administrative support to multiple attorneys as a Legal Secretary IV. She currently continues her legal career with the Law Office of Cotrone & Cotrone, where she has served for more than 17 years.
In addition to her legal experience, Julie has worked as a Medical Assistant with CareSpot Urgent Care for over 15 years. Her extensive professional background, dedication to helping others, and commitment to excellence provide valuable leadership and guidance to the organization.
