At A Woman’s Work Dwelling Place Inc. (AWWDPI), we exist to uplift women, single mothers, girls, and families through support, empowerment, and community connection.

For the past 10 years, we have served single mothers by providing essential items and community support—helping families get through hard seasons with dignity and care. Over time, we recognized that essentials are important, but stability requires more. That’s why we are launching the Rebuild My Life Initiative—a structured support pathway designed to help single moms move from surviving to rebuilding.

Our Core Programs

Rebuild My Life Initiative (RMLI) — Coming Soon

The Rebuild My Life Initiative is our upcoming support pathway for single mothers focused on long-term stability and next steps. RMLI is being developed to include:

• goal planning and accountability,

• coaching and encouragement,

• resource navigation and warm referrals to trusted partners,

• community-based sessions and practical tools to support stability.

Girls 2 Lead (G2L) — Ages 5–18

Girls 2 Lead is our empowerment and leadership program for girls ages 5–18. Through mentorship, life skills, and hands-on learning, girls build confidence and develop into strong, community-minded leaders.

Girls 2 Lead includes:

• leadership and character development

• self-esteem, identity, and healthy decision-making

• life skills and goal setting

• entrepreneurship exposure and youth business-building activities

• community service and positive peer connection

Community Outreach — Support in Action

Our Community Outreach initiatives provide encouragement and practical support through community events, giving drives, and partnership-based projects. Signature outreach efforts include:

• Gift of Beauty – celebrating and uplifting moms through care, confidence, and community support

• Holiday Hug Boxes – support for individuals experiencing homelessness during the holiday season

• Back-to-School Uniform Drive – helping families prepare children for school with confidence

• Together Pinked Journey – a community initiative supporting individuals and families impacted by breast cancer

Community Outreach helps us meet real-time needs while building relationships and strengthening our community.

The Dwelling Spot — Coming Soon

The Dwelling Spot is a new space we are building to support women through connection, encouragement, and growth-focused gatherings. This program will offer opportunities such as:

• women’s connection circles and community meetups

• uplifting experiences and learning moments

• encouragement for women navigating life transitionsi
